Enabling Phase
June 2023-June 2025
The Enabling Phase will run through June 2025. This phase includes the development of schematic design, construction documentation, and the creation and advertisement for bid packages.
Enabling Project Recommendation
The formal Enabling Phase recommendation, which included the final list of projects to be executed, associated construction costs, total projected phase costs, and the recommended trade vendor for each package, are featured in the March 2024 District 115 Board of Education packet. As we progressed through the design process, we strategically reallocated elements of the project scope between phases to create additional flexibility and ensure the referendum's objectives were achieved more efficiently.
The combined bids from the lowest and most responsive bidders for the 14 bid packages amounted to $5,723,503, which is $1,039,948 less than initially projected. This favorable outcome stems from advantageous bidding conditions and a high level of interest in our bid packages. Pepper, Perkins & Will, and district staff were presented an overview of the referendum, timeline, and specifics related to this first important phase in the Board of Education's Workshop in March 2024
